This Holiday Season, Bring Deaf Santa Claus to Communities Nationwide

Your support helps fund travel, interpreters, local school and nonprofit visits, and media outreach — turning over 30 screenings into accessible, engaging events for families across the country.

This holiday season, Deaf Santa Claus is on the road — and on the screen. With over 30 screenings of the Deaf Santa Claus documentary across 11 states, we want every community to experience not just the film, but the conversation that follows.

In our earlier letters, we shared the challenges: interpreter costs that can consume nearly half of an event’s budget, the need for outreach so families even know where to find a Deaf Santa, and the reality that many deserving Santas can’t invest in suits or training because accessibility drives costs up. These are systemic barriers — and they don’t disappear just because it’s Christmas.

Your gift helps us meet those challenges head-on. It ensures that Deaf Santa Claus, our directors, and members of our cast and crew can attend screenings, engage audiences, and bring this story directly to children, families, and communities.

Funding Plan & Impact

Our first goal is to raise $50,000 to support our 2025 Holiday Season:

  • Representation at screenings – cast, crew, and leadership on site to engage audiences and answer questions.

  • Local outreach opportunities – visiting schools and nonprofits near screenings so families can connect directly with the story.

  • Interpreters – making sure every Q&A, panel, and conversation is fully accessible.

  • Travel costs – flights, transport, and lodging for Deaf Santa Claus and the team.

  • Logistics & local engagement – coordinating events, connecting with schools and sponsors, and maximizing participation.

  • Media & PR – elevating the story in local and national outlets to build visibility and momentum.

Why Your Support Matters

Many screenings happen simultaneously in different states. Without support, we can’t be in all the rooms where these conversations should happen. With your help, every screening can be more than just a film — it can be a turning point for representation, for children meeting a Santa who signs, for families seeing themselves on screen, and for communities building new traditions.

Every donation makes this possible. Together, we can bring Deaf Santa Claus to over a dozen communities this season, creating hundreds of opportunities for connection and visibility.
